How to Package / Ship a XBox 360
The ring of death. I guess that is what they call it and if you get it you have to send your Xbox off to the shop!! I called for a repair order and was given some direction on what I needed to do. I was told that the instructions and the box would be shipped UPS in about 3 days. It arrived on time. Once you receive your box and instructions you can ship your console back for repair. Make sure to remove your hard drive before placing the XBox console in the plastic bag provided. Make sure you have removed any CD or DVD from your DVD tray Place your console in the plastic bag. Take the foam pieces that were sent with the box and apply them to each end of your console. Make sure not to send any accessories with your console. You may now close the box and apply the pressure sensitive tape you were supplied. I added more package tape to make sure the seam was secure. Take the return label that was sent to you in the box and apply it directly on top of the existing shipping label. Make sure to match up the dark bold black lines. For your records record the UPS shipping number on your instruction sheet for reference. Take you package to the nearest UPS store. I did this and the minute I walked in the store the clerk knew what I was shipping - I just started to laugh, put it where she directed and off I went. Ten days later it was received in Texas and now the wait begins. Microsoft says it usually takes only three weeks. |
